Ah, swingtop bottles. How I love your joyous champagne-like popping and ability to be resealed. For the longest time I thought only Grolsch came in a swingtop bottle but I've since seen a few that also have the swingtop magic. Here's one that I had never seen before, Alderkonig. It also has a very cool label, the old man with his eagle? looks like something out of a sweet beer ad. It pours a satisfying darkish lager color with barely any head and smells somewhat fruity. It tastes pretty good, meaning it's good but I've definitely had better. I'd almost call this a wannabe Weissbier because of the color and taste. Worth a try, but not one of my favorites.
